Mick Dimitri // HAZY // The Secret Crowd // Klae // Lauren May

Friday 25th October 2019
Tickets £9.00

Born from Aristocracy in Rome, Italy, it was evident from young that Mick Dimitri was always destined for more. At the tender age of 14, he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music, being one of the youngest to ever do so. Now residing in London, Dimitri has excelled in his craft, going on to open for acts such as Ed Sheeran. Much like his inspirations Jeff Buckley and Prince, he intends to make his mark, intertwining ultra-pop melodies with intimate lyrics.

HAZY’s sound has been named as comparable to 'Muse' by BBC Radio Stoke, and is forged by the bands collective cultural clash with Hong Kong, North England and Budapest. Having only just released their debut EP, their records have been named as 'absolutely phenomenal' by local critics and their EP as 'a whopper' by Lucas Yeomans from BBC Radio Stoke. Their disparate compound sound and compelling objective to liberate unspoken social issues sets HAZY up to be one of the most outspoken up and coming bands in Manchester.

The Secret Crowd are a four piece indie rock band from South East London/Kent. In 2018 we released our 2nd EP 'Wasted Hours' which was recorded, mixed and produced by The Keston Cobblers' Club's very own Matthew Lowe.

Our line up consists of Sophie, as lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jack on bass and Matt playing drums. Our sound provides a depth of versatility, from relaxed acoustic settings, to energetic and upbeat ambiences, guaranteed to captivate any audience.

Klae are a five piece hailing from the seaside town of Brighton. Consisting of driven riffs and thrashing guitars one moment and atmospheric soundscapes the next, Klae effortlessly combine harmonising styles to provide a gritty edge to their catchy pop melodies. "Watch out for these ones" - Brighton's Finest "A band with plenty of promise, offering up hints of indie-pop and hard-rock, all mixed into an awesome alternative recipe" - XUNE MAG

Combining ethereal soundscapes with pop elements, Lauren May sits in-between suiting playing intimate smoky rooms and encapsulating entire stadiums with her charming sound.

Originally beginning as a bedroom project armed with only herself, a guitar and a diary of unexpressed emotions, Lauren has recently taken on a rebrand of herself, her name and her sound. The addition of droning guitars and minimal trip-hop beats have given her a platform to be fearless in her pursuit of honing in on her Popgaze components.

Her performance in the meantime will be stripped back to bare guitar and vocal before a first proper single and rebrand arriving Winter 2019.
