She Can Jam

Monday 29th July 2019
7:30pm

LONDON’S NETWORKING HOTSPOT
SUPPORTING FEMALE MUSICIANS AND NEW TALENT

SHE CAN JAM is back! Brought to you by She Music Global.
Comes back on Monday the 29th July
at the legendary Spice of Life, Soho, London

The ONLY jam night in the UK welcoming aspiring female musicians to play with our exclusive, all-female house band. The event will be hosted by legendary entertainer and socialite, Miss Baby Sol.

SCJ started in December 2014 and created by She Music Global (formerly S.H.E!), the female live music entertainment company. Previous speakers and hosts on the night have included legendary women such as; Michelle Jon (Eric Clapton), Angie Brown (No.1 Hit ‘I’m Gonna Get You) & Nerija (7 Piece All Female Urban Jazz Band) to name a few.

SCJ is increasingly becoming a buzz word for aspiring musicians all over the UK wanting to network and meet like-minded people in the industry. SCJ holds a warm, rich and unique atmosphere and is committed to building confidence and self-esteem in musicians whilst giving them a direct avenue to gain work. Previous acts who have showcased their musical talents became She Music Global members and have gone on to play countless gigs throughout the UK and internationally, and the company is rapidly becoming an accreditation within the music industry.

SCJ was founded by business entrepreneur Keisher Downie, who is also the sole founder of the International Entertainment Collective, She Music Global as well as the #SheGirls Agency. Along with this, she is a successful singer and actress, recently completing the 1st year in the Oliver nominated ' Tina The Musical'" currently playing in the West End’s Aldwych Theatre.

Keisher explains: “Working in this industry can be really tough, especially once you realise that you need to blend business with creativity & not the other way around! SCJ brings a type of 'electricity' in the room where you are commended on your current skills, not a ' she's good for a girl' type attitude we're unfortunately used to. They are just good musicians! We need more confident musicians. Most of them are great but a lot lack the confidence to know they are just as good as their male counterparts. I don't know exactly why, but I'm committed to change it.”
