APPOLONIE + MA - Appolonie is a young RnB, jazz and neo-soul singer-songwriter originally from Marseille, France. Whilst living in France, she performed with various French hip-hop bands in venues such as Le Casino de Paris and L'espace Julien. She moved to London in 2013 to study on the Jazz course at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she met the other members of her band. Since the beginning of the project she has performed in Franco Brazilian Music festival Planeta Ginga in Rio, French Radio Station Radio Nova. She now performs her original material around London in venues such as Hootananny Brixton and Ronnie Scott’s. This will be her first performance at the Spice of Life, Soho in the lead up of her long awaited Debut EP release. Compared to artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote and Solange, Appolonie has a different take on the Neo Soul genre. Whilst being heavily influenced by hip-hop and RnB, Appolonie effortlessly blends the two with jazz to create an intricate sound both new and familiar. instagram.com/appoloniefacebook.com/appoloniemusicsoundcloud.com/appolonie
