Substance presents Acoustica featuring: The Du- Rell Family + James Chapman and the Blue Moon + Marky Dawson + Alex Lozano + Lost Boy
Come to the Spice of life for an evening of music our famous Backstage Bar.
Doors open at 6.
The Du- Rell Family
The Du-Rell family find beauteous and biting murder-country harmonies between the slap of a lover’s hand and the cock of the answering shotgun, twixt the kaleidoscope of the blood-sprayed tub and the sweet smell of someone simmering on the stove. Songs to make Nick Cave queasy, Tom Waits waver and Hank Williams beg to come back and score some stash.
“……. rattling, rolling, snake-wrestling anthems travel through your ears. It's opium, it's Mazzy Star, it's Dolly Parton on toast... and they're rather fantastic." (Artrocker Magazine)
